Therearevariousactivitiesinmylife,suchashardstudying,hiking,gathering,competitionsandsoon.Andwhatimpressesmemostwasmyexperienceofbeingavolunteerteacherinthesummervacationofhighschool.Iwastoldwhatisresponsibilitybytheexperience.
WhenIhavenothingtodoathomeinthesummervacation,Iheardthattheschoolorganizedsomesummeractivities,thepeoplewhoparticipatedwouldreceiveadditionalpraiseforthefinalgrade.IcametoschoolandfoundtherewereenoughstudentstooccupytheactivitiesexceptvolunteerteacherwhichaimedatprovidingchildreninpoorareaswithanEnglisheducation.Asamatteroffact,Ididnotshowanyinterestinthisactivity,forIthoughtthatIjustwastedmytimeandenergy,theactivitieswereashowtofindsomereasontoaddpointsforsomeperson.Fortunately,thetargetwasnotfarfrommyhomeandtheteachingtimewasshort,justoneweek.IthoughtmyEnglishwasprettygoodsoIenrolledasamemberoftheteachinggroup.AsmyfirsttimetoteachothersEnglishintheclass,IbecamequiteexcitedandmadeupmymindTOPreparefortheclassaswellasIcould.Becausetheteachingtimewasveryshort,Icannotteachallthesectionofthetextbook,Ihavetochoosesomeclassicsectionstotell.Ireadtheallthesectionsofthetextbookthreetimesandchoosesevenarticles.What'smore,inorderTOPreparethelessons,IsearchedontheInternetforsomeadditionalinformationwhichcouldmakethelessonseasilyunderstand.
Quickly,myfirstlessonwascoming,therewere50studentscrowinginasmallclassroom.Tomysurprise,theatmosphereintheclassroomdidnotaswarmasIthought.Mostofthestudents'listeningwaspoor,andtheirspokenwereworsethantheirlistening.TheywereveryshyanddidnothaveenoughconfidencetoexpresstheirviewbyEnglish.Fortunately,IhadpreparedanumberofPPTwhichwasaboutanimatedcharacters,andthestudentslovedit.IallowedthemspeakEnglishwithChinesewords,sothestudentsbegantoexchangeupslowlyandhappily.Inthefollowinglessons,Iusedthesamemethodforteachingandachievedgoodresults.Afterallthelessons,studentsslowlydaredtoopentheirmouthtospeakEnglish.
Ireallybenefitalotfromtheunforgettableexperience.IdidnotexpectIhadbroughtsomuchhelpstoothersinadvance,andaftertheteachingexperience,Ifoundthattherearealotofpeoplearoundwhofacedvariousdifficulties,whichwereeasyforus.Ifwecanhelpthemactively,theirlivescouldbeeasier.Itistheself-realizationthatreallymakesourlifemeaningful.Alsoitistheresponsibilitytohelpotherstomakethesocietyharmonious.
Ithinkresponsibilityislikeasmallseeds,onceitsowinginourmind,withthepassageoftime,itwilltakeroot,germinationandgrowing.SoIfIluckilyjoinMichiganStateUniversity,Iwillpersistaligntheresponsibilitytohelpmorepeople.MaybeIwillorganizesomeclassmatetoChinaasavolunteerEnglishteacher
在我的日常有不少历程，如刻苦学习，远足历游，搜集，比赛等。而给我印象最深的是那次高中暑假，我成为一名志愿者老师的暑期活动。让我了解了什么是责任。
那年暑假我在家非常无聊，没啥事做。听说学校组织一些暑期活动，参加者会遭到额外的奖励，并计入期末最后考评。于是我便来到学校，发现报名的学生已经不少了，除去为贫困区域的孩子做英语老师志愿者以外，其他的活动都满员了。事实上，我对这类活动也没任何兴趣，由于我感觉这只不过费时和精力。这类活动只不过一场秀，给某些人加分而已。不过幸运的是，支教目的地离我家不远，教学时间也非常短，只有一个星期。我想我的英语很好，所以加入该教学组。因为我首次在课堂上教其他人英语，我变得非常开心，决心要尽我所能，为上课做好筹备。因为教学时间非常短，我不可以教课本所有内容，需要选择一些经典的部分来教。我把教科书通读了三次，然后选择7篇文章。而且，为了备课，我在网络上搜索一些其他的内容，使课程更容易理解。
非常快，我的首次课来了，一个小教室里面挤着50名学生。出乎我的意料，课堂上的氛围并没像我想象的活跃。大部分学生的听力比较差，而他们的口语比听力更差。而且他们都很害臊，没足够的信心通过英语来表达我们的看法。好在我已经筹备了很多的PPT，这类PPT中都是一些动画人物，同学们喜欢它。我让他们讲夹杂着中文的英语，所以学生们开始慢慢的交流起来。在后面的课上，我用同样的办法进行教学，获得了好的成效。经过所有些课程后，学生们慢慢的敢开口说英语。
我从这次让人难忘的历程中获益良多。我之前并没想到我能给其他人带来这么多帮助。我发现周围有不少人会遇见各种各样的困难，但这类困难对于大家是比较容易做到的。假如大家能积极地帮助他们，他们的生活可以更容易一些。帮助别人是自我价值的达成，真的使大家的生活更有意义。除此之外，大家有责任帮助别人，使社会和谐。
我觉得责任是一个小种子，一旦它在大家脑海里播种，伴随时间的推移，它会生根，发芽和长大。所以，假如我幸运地进入了密歇根州立大学，我会尽我们的责任帮助更多的人。或许我会组织一些同学到中国作为英语老师志愿者。
